How will God help you when you have a heart of stone????
138 Heart of Stone
Hebrews 8: 9-10 ‘9 . . . When I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.’
God teaches us His law by writing them into our hearts of understanding. This prevents us from being void; but, there are two hearts which we may present to God to write on; the heart of flesh or the heart of stone. We have to decide what my relationship with God will be.
2 Corinthian 3: 3 ‘3…to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.’
Write on stone, is a hard process for anyone to do. The heart mentioned here should once again not be taken literally. A person has a hardened heart when they are not obedient, unreasonable or ignorant towards God
Exodus 13: 29 ‘32And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.’
We also have harts of rock when we become hard-headed and do not adhere to God’s teachings. Physically; words are not written onto stone; it has to be engraved therein. God’s wishes are engraved into our stone hearts when He has to repeatedly plead with us to become children and do His will; over and over and over again. This way He will be engraving his teachings into the minds of those who have hearts of stone.
God is fully aware of our suffering in the darkness. He will always be in our midst to assist us in breaking free from our pain. But: due to our own deeds we continuously end up in misery and pain. These are the times we call on Jesus to forgive and free us from our dilemmas we find ourselves in. God will always be present to assist us; forgive our sins and set us free again. But as soon as we are set free, we forget about the pain we suffered and return to the darkness.
Deuteronomy 8: 13 ‘13And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; 14Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;’
Another sickle completed in the desert from darkness to light and from the light back into darkness; and back to square one. God will then repeat his commandments by writing them into our hearts of stone again and again; and so forth and so forth.
Those who adhere to God’s words will advance closer to His kingdom each and every time they do so, as they have hearts of flesh. With a heart of flesh, God will instruct such children once and he will respond by doing as he was told. These are the members whom trust in God and have the faith in Him that He will never fail us.
By taking control of our own lives and doing things our own way, we become as the sheep in the wilderness that never followed the shepherd. This way we end up getting hurt, as we have no light on our path. People say that God is cruel for making us suffer. We are the inflictors of our own pain, not God. God wants to help us reach our freedom so much, but with hearts of stone, we will remain pillars of salt.
As Children, our parents write on our hearts when they educate and discipline us for our journey. The child with a flesh heart will be obedient and perform his duties as he was told, without being demanded for the second and third times. On the other hand; the child who has a stone heart has to be asked repeatedly before performing his duties correctly. This leads to the parents having to punish the child for being disobedient. And what will the response of the child be; “my parents are cruel?” Does this not sound familiar; people blaming God for ending up in a painful situation? The only difference between God and the parents are that God is not the one punishing us. Without God’s light, we fall into a pit or bump our heads by walking in the dark. We know the rules, but with hearts of stone we just won’t listen.
As I have said before; God writes in our minds or hearts by teaching us with His word.
Deuteronomy 6: 6 ‘6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart…..’
2 Corinthian 3: 2-3 ‘2Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: 3Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.’
God has therefore created us to His image by his teachings, and the people will read His letter of love from our hearts when they hear us teach.
Every story in the Bible has a spiritual meaning and message from God which will guide us ever so closer to Him. What gain will it have for my soul if I had to read about stories which happened to others thousands of years ago? Absolutely, nothing……
The Bible will only have meaning when we are drawn nearer to God by its teachings. We need God in our lives today; not in the past or future; I Am, not was or will be.
We need to be able to apply these teachings into our own lives today; as this is our journey, our destiny, our cross and responsibility.
The Bible is not a story or history book; it holds the hidden map through which we will free our own imprisoned souls, enter God’s kingdom and then be equipped to free the souls of others.
The journey of Moses is one of the key codes to understand before we will be able to understand our own journey. What gain will a physical Moses of thousands of yours ago have for us as seekers on our journey at this time? This teaching is part of the map we have to follow, in the here and now. God was not a long time ago; or, He will not be part of us when He comes; God is, I Am.
Spirits within Man’s Heart
In the human heart or mind there are different spirits present; some of these spirits represent the darkness and others the light. These spirits are mentioned in the Bible as being animals, but in code.
