Why do we pain and never find a way to break free? WHY WHY WHY!!!!!! From ‘The Bibles Secrets Revealed’….
Never Turn Back
Luke 9: 62 ‘62And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.’
We have to turn to God and serve Him only; not as Moses and the wife of Lot by turning back, craving after the evil of Egypt and Sodom again.
Genesis 19: 26 ‘26But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.’
The teaching on lot’s wife must not be taken literally, as she did not physically look back at Sodom and Gomorrah which caused her to physically turn into a pillar of salt. She longed after the pleasures and lusts of the flesh which she was supposed to have turned away from.
Once we decide to walk the path of God we should never look back, for if we go back and forth between darkness and light, we will never advance in any direction. This action will cause us to remain in the darkness and figuratively turn into a pillar of salt.
See how God warns us in the next text against serving two masters?
Revelation 3: 15-16 ‘15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.’
We have to make our decision; ‘am I willing to serve God, or not? Turning back will cause us to remain in the wilderness as Moses did. They basically turned into pillars of salt in the wilderness as well; as they never reached the Promised Land or returned to Egypt.
We all need to be freed from Egypt, Sodom and Gomorrah without any doubt in our hearts. These are not physical cities and should not be taken literally. They are merely codes for the world and the cities of darkness which we have to conquer within our own hearts.
Hebrews 6: 4 ‘4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.’
Where is Pharaoh and Egypt in our lives today, which God is warning us about?
Egypt is a state of mind where Pharaoh keeps our souls hostage and slave to build him a kingdom. We should be building a kingdom for our God in the Promised Land, not for Pharaoh in Egypt. The choice remains our own.
Revelation 11: 8 ‘…. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.’
The dead bodies mentioned here are the dead spirits of God’s children who were re-born and returned to the world after receiving life from God. They were separated from God for too long without receiving food and water to keep their light shining.
Acts 7: 34 ‘34I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them.’
God is aware of our suffering in this world while being separated from Him. However, when He draws us closer to help us escape from Egypt, we turn right back and return to where we came from. We actually ask of Satan to keep us captive in his prison.
All souls will remain in the darkness for as long as they are kept as slaves in Egypt. We merely have the short time on earth to free our souls and help others do the same.
Exodus 16: 3 ‘ . . . Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.’
Israel was not happy to be freed to serve God in the wilderness. They were longing back to Egypt.
We all long after the fleshpots of Egypt at some stage on our journey. After we have escaped the world and found our path, we will all find it hard to leave the things behind which we once loved. We sometimes miss the pleasures and friends we left behind. I know it is hard to change and carry the cross; as we never had a cross to carry whilst in the darkness. Our time was our own and we had fun with those who shared our interests.
I want to make something very clear though; our souls are not having fun whilst being imprisoned in the darkness. The soul is in pain and longs to become one with God’s Light.
However; no matter how hard we may find it to turn away from Satan; remember, we are doing it all for Jesus. Once we have set our souls free, we will truly understand how serious this journey really is for us to complete in this lifetime.
After we reached our destiny, we will become the light for our friends. Believe me, it is but the blink of the eye, and we will leave the body again.
What are we going to do about it; how many souls will you save for God in your short lifetime?
How long Before we Escape?
Let us attempt to comprehend the fact that it took Moses 40 years to complete a three day journey. Does this even remotely make sense at all?
