The Eye to see the truth
We will now discuss the eye of the spirit without which it is impossible for us to complete our journey.
It is important to understand the difference between what the physical and spirit in the Bible is before we will understand who and what we really are. We need to become spiritually enlightened beings to understand the Creator which is spirit.
Our physical body’s’ and eyes are merely capable of observing the material world, and will end functioning at the grave. However, we need to develop the spirit eye to see beyond the physical world, before we leave the earthen vessel.
The Bible teaches us that we have two eyes;’ the eye of light and the eye of the flesh.
Our fleshly eye is not of God and the main cause for the soul to remain captive in the darkness. On our journey, we have to conquer the fleshly mind, which desires after the lusts of the physical world.
Matthew 5: 29 / Mark 9: 47 ‘47And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.’
Why does God tell us to pluck out the eye? Again; this is not literal. The eye which will cause us to end up in hell is the eye that desires after the senses of the physical world. Our remaining eye is the one which desires to see the light from God’s kingdom.
Our eye off darkness is controlled by the mind which embraces the physical illusion of this world. Every person is born in darkness and we all love the world before the light is revealed to us. We are therefore controlled by Satan at this stage of our journey.
Moses and Israel remained prisoners in the desert because they loved to eat from the flesh-pots of Egypt. This is a good example of how we will remain in the darkness for loving Egypt or the world more than God. Israel could never rid its heart of the darkness and continuously desired to return to the world in Egypt. This was the cause for them going round and round in circles in the desert. Our journey to the Promised Land is a mere three day trip
In other words: After forty years of suffering, they found it impossible to conquer the mind; which should have taken three days.
Egypt is the code for the world we so much desire and where we remain prisoners of the darkness. There is solely one way to escape; we have to break free from Egypt, start our journey towards God and never turn back.
Some people are spiritually capable of remaining powerful in the works of God without being drawn back to the dark. These are old spirits whom are in total control of the mind and will therefore not find it necessary to pluck out the eye. Those who are weakened by the flesh and lusts of the world are the ones who have to remove the eye.
THE 3 DAY JOURNEY
Code—the spiritual eye: No person has to pluck out their physical eyes laterally. The eye which we have to rid ourselves of is the eye which loves Egypt. This is also the eye of jealousy, hate and all evil
Luke 11: 34 ‘34The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.’
This text has been written in code but should be quite easy for us to understand
The eye becomes light when we allow God to see through our eyes. God sees no evil in any of His creation. God loves and wishes good upon everybody; and so would we with Him present in our hearts.
For as long as the body is filled with darkness Satan will be the master of the individual. When Satan looks through our eyes, we will see how the poor are dressed, and think of others as being common. We shall find the wrong in whatever others do and love only those who love the darkness.
What is the meaning of being born in the darkness? We remain in darkness for as long as we remain without Spiritual knowledge or wisdom. We receive light by being taught and thereby gain understanding. The unknown is mostly explained to us by the word, whereby we will receive wisdom to walk in the light.
The eye of darkness has no wisdom of God’s love, as it will never be able to see past the flesh and weaknesses of others.
It is quite difficult for us to realise that we are causing separation in the body of Jesus whilst we are not able to see God’s light. Those who are blind consider mostly their own flesh and thereby hurt others unknowingly.
We will learn from the next few texts how that Jesus teaches us that we will not be able to understand his teachings or see into the unknown without the eye and the ear which we do not all possess, but have to attain to see and understand Him.
Matthew 13: 13 ‘13Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.’
Mark 4: 12 ‘12That seeing they may see, and not perceive.’
1 Corinthians 2: 9 ‘9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God
John 14: 19 ‘19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.’
The last text makes it clear that the people of the world are not able to see Him. This is the way God created the spirit. Without the body to see spirit, how will we see God which is spirit?
Those, whom are spiritually blind on this side of the grave, will remain blind on the other; and the reason why God tells us that we are blind, although we are able to see literally.
Hebrews 12: 14 ‘14Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:’
Follow peace and holiness: What is the meaning of being Holy? One becomes Holy by being in the works of God whilst being separated from the lusts of the world (Fasting). The separation or Holiness mentioned here is not physically being separated from others. Being Holy with Jesus, is for us to have the mind separated from the worldly thoughts and to remain in prayer.
Example: Our physical bodies might be inside the church-building while our minds are elsewhere.
Moreover, the body might be at a party with friends, whilst our minds are in prayer with God. This is a state of being Holy; keeping the mind separated from the darkness.
The main purpose of receiving the eye is to seek and find the kingdom of God. The question remains; how will we see God by following peace with all men and holiness? (Hebrews 12: 14)
One has to remain in the fellowship of people who serves God. For as long as God remains in our midst He will be cleansing our hearts from the darkness of the human mind. In this manner the spirit of light will grow within us until we conquer the darkness. After the heart is cleansed of the human thoughts it becomes pure, and God’s Light will start shining through.
Matthew 5: 8 ‘8Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.’
Our spirits were supplied with the physical body to seek and find the kingdom of God; for no other reason. This will solely be accomplished by conquering the love we have for the physical illusion.
The spirit inside the body is who we really are. The mind has to become conscious of this fact before the transformation will be able to take place. If we do not seek and find the Kingdom of God while we are on earth, how will we know where to go when we leave the body? We will remain the exact same person, with exactly the same knowledge after leaving the body. What will bring us the wisdom to know God all of a sudden when we leave?
Leaving the carnal body is the same as removing a dust-cover from the spirit. Our spirits are eternal, and not the carnal body.
There are some questions we need answered before we will know what to look for on our journey.
- Why will God tell us to seek His Kingdom if it was not possible to find? Matthew 6: 33
- Why do we have to seek God’s Kingdom if he will be coming on the clouds for every eye to see?
- How will we be able to seek and reach God’s Kingdom with the physical body if He is above the stars?
- Why does God say that the pure in heart will see God, if it was not possible to see Him on this side of the grave? Matthew 5: 8
- 5. Why does God tell us that we shall find His Kingdom when we seek it, if it was not possible?
- 6. Will God not be inside His kingdom when we find Him? Deuteronomy 4: 29
